Sausage roll confessions

    I think it comes from years of eating it that way but I am generally suspicious of flaky pastry on sausage rolls. I spent three years in Wales so I know what proper sausage rolls should taste like, but Mr Biggs sausage rolls are my happy place. I unravel and eat the thick pastry until I’m left with a line of meat. You really can’t achieve this process with flaky rolls.
